Inner Court Outreach Ministries was founded/ build by Apostle Jerry E. Haynes and Pastor Mae H. Haynes on June 1st, 2005. The Lord moved us from one ministry on a Tuesday, and by that Thursday, we had the keys to a new place of worship. That Sunday, we held our first service with an attendance of 101 people. The first sermon preached in our new house of worship was titled "Things Won't Be the Same Always" by Apostle J.E. Haynes. To get to that point, we had come to view a building that would become our new place of worship. We had just left a beautiful edifice that our leaders had deeply invested in, a sanctuary of 8,700 square feet, to find ourselves standing in front of a church located in a subway parking lot. We were initially discouraged, questioning how God could lead us here. Yet, Pastor Walter Diggles offered words of encouragement and opened the doors of his place for us to worship. Our first Wednesday night service had 75 attendees, and during that time, Apostle Haynes encouraged us to pray for a name for the ministry. Several names were suggested, but Apostle Haynes shared that the Lord had led him to name it Inner Court Outreach Ministries. Over time, the Lord continued to bless our new home. Apostle Haynes later shared that it was time to stop renting and find a place we could truly call HOME. We looked at several potential locations, including properties on Highway 87 and Highway 96. One day, Mother J. Kelly passed by this building and the land, and it was through the Lord's direction that we were able to purchase the property that is now the home of Inner Court Outreach Ministries. Today, Inner Court Outreach Ministries is a thriving organization dedicated to serving the community through many ministries. We are grateful for God's guidance and provision throughout our journey.
